I had a conversation with a cherry blossom tree.

We didn't have long.

We've been acquaintances for a while.

We talked about the weather, and the sun, and the moon.
We talked about the wind, the rain and the snow.

She didn't know much about the snow.

I made a promise.

There are such things as prose poems, and it reads like one, so why not. *laugh*

But is it a poem if it wasn't written with the intention of being one?

There are things that are unintentionally poetic about the quotidian too, and it doesn't make them less poetic for being ordinary. It's still a poem because of the way it reads and the meanings one may gleam from it. As for what it says, mah, that's between it and the reader, just like your conversation with the cherry tree is solely between you and her. And that's poetic in itself. Ah, my profundity impresses even myself sometimes. *laugh*
